Dorothy M. Verbosky's Obituary
Dorothy M. Verbosky (nee Kornet), age 97 of Seven Hills, passed peacefully, in her sleep, at home on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Dr. Laurie Verbosky, Amy Verbosky and Thomas (Shelly) Verbosky. Grandmother of Christopher (Kate) Verbosky and Kayla (Josh) Jackson. Great grandmother of James, Benjamin and Rory.
Dorothy was a strong Woman of Faith and lived her life for the church and her family. In her earlier years she loved to dance, meet with her Secret Pal Club and walk at the mall with her friends. She was a lifelong Cleveland Indians/Guardians fan, never missing a game even watching a replay game the day prior to her passing.
She had been homebound for the last several years. Dorothy was a lover of all animals, spending time watching and feeding the squirrels, birds and deer in her backyard wildlife sanctuary and playing with her three cats. After the pandemic passed, she loved spending time with her great grandchildren and watching them play in her backyard nature sanctuary.
The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic Homecare for the wonderful service, especially Jaclyn and Kathleen.
Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at St. Columbkille Church, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma at 11:30 am. Family will receive friends at church prior to mass on Wednesday from 10 - 11:30 am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude or " Pay It Forward" to those in need.
