Doris Louise Kubinski (nee Lipinski), age 85,of Catawba, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025 in a wonderful home for elderly care. Doris was a remarkable woman who led a life full of love, passion, and dedication to her family, friends. and community.Born on December 2, 1939 to John and Alice Lipinski, Doris grew up with an infectious spirit and an energetic personality that led her to become a high school cheerleader, where she made lifelong friends and learned the values of teamwork and perseverance. It was during these formative years that she met the love of her life, Charles Kubinski, and together, they built a beautiful family.As a devoted wife and mother, Doris raised two children with boundless love, care, and strength. Her nurturing spirit and ability to balance family life with a thriving career were hallmarks of her character. A talented hairdresser, Doris worked in the beauty industry for many years, making her clients feel beautiful both inside and out. Her artistry and connection with people were unmatched.But Doris's story didn't stop there. In the mid 1980s, she embarked on one of her proudest achievements: becoming one of the first female licensed charter captains on Lake Erie. With courage, skill, and a deep love for the water, she earned the respect of her peers and built a successful business that allowed her to share her passion for fishing and the lake with others.Doris's legacy is one of resilience, determination, and love. She was a woman ahead of her time, breaking barriers, embracing new challenges, and always staying true to herself. Doris will always be loved by her husband, Chuck (deceased), two children, Patti-Jo Burtnett and Scott Kubinski (deceased), two grandchildren, Claire Burtnett and Charlie Burtnett, great-granddaughter Lily Burtnett, and a host of cherished family members and very dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.A celebration of Doris's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm, with a concluding prayer service at 1:00pm at GOLUBSKI DELIBERATO FUNERAL HOME (AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME) 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE, where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the incredible woman she was.
