Bob Hustack's Obituary
Robert Andrew ("Bob") Hustack, age 89, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born November 14, 1936 in McKeesport, PA., Bob was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Latsko) Hustack. Beloved husband of the late Dolores (Lesnak) Hustack. Loving father of Larry Hustack (Lori), Sandy Lessick (Jim) and the late Lori Price (the late Terry). Grandfather of Nicki (Nick), Ryan (Ali), Steve (fiance Sheilha), Courtney (Zach), Kelsey (Mike), Jimmy (fiance Courtney) and Kimmy (fiance Jeremy). Great grandfather of Reilly, Libby, Chase, Declan, Emma, Teagan and Mia. Brother of Joanne Steigerwald and brother-in-law Joe (deceased).
Bob graduated from Bedford High School in 1954 and continued his education at trade school, where he trained to become a master tinsman. He went on to spend his career crafting sheet metal, a trade in which he took great pride. Through years of hard work and dedication, he was someone who could be counted on to do the job well and do it right. His skill, patience, and craftsmanship were evident in everything he created and repaired.
Bob was a man of many talents and interests. He loved fishing and hunting, and he found great satisfaction in building things with his own hands. Among his many projects were three dollhouses, each made with care for the oldest granddaughter in each family, a reflection of the thoughtfulness and love he poured into the people closest to him. He also enjoyed gardening and planning trips to Hawaii, finding joy in both the simple pleasures of home and the excitement of future adventures. Bob was known for his ability to fix just about anything, whether it was made of wood, metal, or electrical components. If something needed repair, he was the one many turned to with confidence.
Faith was an important part of Bob's life. He was very religious and served as an altar server until the week before he married the love of his life, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. His faith guided the way he lived, and he carried that devotion into his home and family. He instilled traditions that became a lasting part of family life, including the importance of praising the Lord, keeping Sundays holy, and making time for family. These values were not simply spoken, but lived out in the example he set each day.
Bob loved his family deeply and was someone people looked up to with respect and admiration. He was a source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement, and his presence brought comfort to those around him. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He took great pride in his family and in the legacy of love, faith, and hard work that he helped build.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Vodrazka Golubski Deliberato Funeral Care, 6505 Brecksville Rd., Independence, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 4 - 8 p.m. Morning prayers at the funeral home Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Rd., Northfield, at 10 a.m.
