Father Zepp was the celebrant for many happy occassions in my family, including my marriage nearly 17 years ago. The memory of his smile will always be held dear. We are now in Montana and heard the news from a family friend who knew how dear he was to us all. He was a treasure!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Fr. Zepp. I remember Fr. Zepp from St. Catherine's. He was a great inspiration to the teens at the time. Fr. Zepp was instrumental in keeping the "guys" from the neighborhood in line. He will be remembered as one of the good ones! God Bless him.
We are Jack and Judy Gray. We want to express our deepest sympathy to all of the family of Fr. Zepp. He was my mentor in high school. He baptized me and my sister. I was 17, she was 19. He married Judy (my wife)and me and our eldest son, Jack who died 10/05/99. Fr. Zepp also helped us bury our son. Father Zepp was my priest, my spiritual adviser, my confessor and my friend of over 45 years. His guidance and friendship made me into a better Catholic and a better person. He met with me and my wife-to-be (Dee) and told me, "thats the one for you" He was right, of course. We were married for 42 years until Dee's passing last August. Father Zepp also baptized my son, Joseph. If the Church had more priests like Father Zepp today maybe conditions would be different. He always had time or made time to talk to us and our Saturday confessions, as a group of young guys, was always left with "I'll see you at the rail tomorrow". Fr. Zepp was my Conversion class teacher along with Sister Mary John. He was a inspiration and a guide in my faith. I appreciated his council more then he ever knew. He will be missed.
Back in 1956-57 our Catchism high school class got a new young priest, Father Anthony Zepp at St Vincent's Church in Akron OH. My future husband and I thought he was wonderful and a treat to have a nice young priest who was so understanding of us. In June of 1962 Fr Zepp married us at St Vincent's after having to "get" my records from another church, because I was told I had to be married in my parrish. He was wonderful to us. We lost contact with Fr. Zepp as my husband was a carrer Army officer, but we are still married and have a special place in our hearts for him. It never dawned on us how close in age we were. I am sure Father Zepp was a blessing to many in his career. Our sympathy to his family.
Dear Family of Our beloved Rev. Fr. Zepp, I have known Fr. Zepp from my childhood at St. Catherine, through High School at Holy Name, a personal confessor as I went through college and began my career in teaching. He was always so kind to my family. He married my husband, Frank and myself 33 years ago. When my husband died recently, he wrote me the most heartfelt sympathy card. My heart just sank to learn of his death. I am sure that your deep faith will be an enormous blessing not only to you, but as you comfort others. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Fr. Zepp help me in my teenage and adult life. He was a great man. While I was at Holy Name High he gave me direction that was badly needed. Graduate from Holy Name in 1965. During those 4 years he helped me when life was diffcult. He taught me that anything was possible. After High School joined the military. In 1969 Fr. Zepp married me and started college. I know he was instrmental in me going to college. Over the years we chated and I always thank him for the guidance and prays he gave. I have losted a dear friend, but I know he is in God's hands watching over all of us. I can talk to him anytime I wish. Thank you Fr Zepp for all the things in my life you did for me and my family. Dear Family of Father Zepp, Father Zepp was responsible for helping our dad through the RCIA process to become Catholic. We deeply appreciated that, despite being very ill, he came "across town" to visit our mom who was dying of cancer this past January. He also participated in her funeral mass at St. John Bosco in February. Father Zepp touched many lives. Our sincere condolences. Cheryl Stefanik and Family
Fr.Zepp was a long time friend. He helped many students at Holy Name High School. He concelebrated our wedding Mass. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Zepp family. Fr.Zepp is in our prayers.
