Anneliese Pasch (nee Constabel), age 91; beloved wife of the late Johann H.; loving mother of Andrea MacDonald (Neil, deceased), and Gabrielle Strickland (Dave, deceased); devoted grandmother of Ashley Smith, Melanie Nelson (Zach), Sarah MacDonald and great grandmother of Ellie; dearest daughter of Hans and Annie Constabel (both deceased); dearest sister of Hildegard Schmidt (Alo), Hans Constabel (deceased) (Jutta), and Erika Bottcher (deceased) (Peter); dear aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Anneliese was born in Hamburg, Germany and survived the bombings of Hamburg during World War II. It was her responsibility to take her young siblings to safety when the air raid sirens sounded. After the war, she worked in a factory cafeteria, where she met her husband Johann "Hans". They married in Germany in July of 1957, and after the birth of their two daughters, they immigrated to Canada in July of 1967, and then to the United States three years later where they settled in Cleveland, OH. Anneliese was a homemaker and had a comfortable life doing the things she loved including traveling, enjoying her garden, dinner theater and spending time with her friends.
Private services will be held in Hamburg, Germany at a later date.
