ANNA PHILOMENA RUSSELL (nee LUBA), age 95, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. Cherished wife of Joseph Slifcak and Robert Russell (both deceased); dear mother of Michael (Ginny), Tim (Linda), the late Nick (Meg), the late Ralph (Mary Jane), and George (Ellen); loving sister of Joe, Paul, Frank, Tom, Betty Pearch, John, and Ethel Vaselinko; grandmother of Michelle, Nicole, Paul, Amy, Zachary, Ian, Russell, Wyatt, Quinn, and Elliot. Great grandmother of Nolan, Mariam, and Ezran.
Born in Van Voorhis, PA. Originally from Hendersonville, PA, Anna worked for United Airlines in Chicago and Washington D.C. before moving to the Cleveland area to raise a family.
Anna was also a long time postal service employee for the city of Cleveland. Family was very important to her. She deeply loved them and was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., INDEPENDENCE (1/2 mile south of Rockside Rd.) on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home.
