Anita was tough and rough on the outside but under all that she had a heart of gold. She would do anything for her nieces and nephews, including sending tobacco and one other item of contraband to Mark when he was in his basic training with the USNavy! She believed in being comfortable which is why she took off her half slip and her wig in the parking lot at Tass and my wedding reception! She and Tim were visiting Tass and I in Texas in the early 1970’s and we were in the back yard one evening with a full moon. Anita looked up at the moon and asked, “Is that the same moon that we have in Cleveland?†On the same trip Anita and I were watching tv and Tim asked if he could put a couple of things in her suitcase. Distracted by TV she said yes. A while later she discovered he had thrown out all her things and took her whole suitcase for his things! And I couldn’t believe what happened next…physical fight between them! Neither of them were hurt and I couldn’t stop laughing at whole scene!
