Alex Kunevicius' Obituary
Alex Kunevicius, age 103, passed away November 3, 2022. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Freda, who passed away in 2020. Loving father to James (deceased), (wife Alicia), Raymond, and Richard, (Megan O'Brien). Cherished grandfather to Jim, Jessica (deceased), Kelly, Olivia, Fallon, Madie and Wyatt. Dearest great grandfather to Will, Alex, Emily, Noelle, Kane, Cruz, and Meyer. He was a WWII veteran and encamped in Guadalcanal during the war. He published a book about his war experiences in 2019 called "585 Raids & Counting". Published his 2nd book in 2020 "I Sold a Car to an Angel" about his business ventures. Alex was a warrior, entrepreneur, leader, world traveler, mentor and the best story teller. He was an amazing man, deeply committed to his faith and family and gave his love unconditionally. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family will forever be grateful for all the years God gave him here on Earth. He is now home in the arms of his lord. Family will receive friends in THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD. (RT. 21, S. OF ROCKSIDE), WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2022 FROM 3-7 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 6912 Chestnut Rd., Independence, at 10 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Mapleshade Cemetery with Military Honors.
