He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 19, 1934 to Margaret and Albert Sr. He grew up in Garfield Heights, Ohio and graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1952. He was the Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Serio) for 63 years; and more recently the loving and much cherished companion of Millie Simon. Dearest father of Tony (Cyndee) and Scott (Jeanine); his four grandchildren, Zakary Long (Gerardo), Evan Long (Olivia), Alexandra Fogle (Aaron) and Chelsea McIntosh (Ross) all knew him as their wonderful “Papa”. He was the great-grandfather of Sam, Owen, Grant, Nina, Dean, Timothy, Isla and Jack; brother of Betty Russik (Bud), both deceased, beloved uncle and friend to many.
Albert worked 42 years at Alcoa as a tool and die maker for aerospace, automotive and other industries. Albert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Browns, Cavs and Guardians fan, was a talented woodworker as well as a competitive roller-skater and ballroom dancer. He was known to attend many senior dances at a variety of locations in the greater Cleveland area. Albert was also known for his quick wit and often had some hilarious one line zingers at the drop of a hat! He had a compassionate heart and was always willing to jump in and help any and all who needed it especially at the senior complex where he lived his last few years. Albert was a proud Veteran of the US Army and served as a tank mechanic.
