Adam and I went to school together for years. He and I had many mutual friends and always saw one another when we were in the same place at the same time. We mostly kept touch through phone calls and emails. Although we did not get to talk often, he always brought a smile to my face when we did! He happened to be in town the weekend of my wedding and had some time, so my husband and I invited him sort of unexpectedly, but happily. We also were able to visit with him at a mutual friend over Christmases. In that short time of knowing him, even my husband could sense what a good man Adam is and I was so proud to see him over the years. Nothing really touched us, though, so much as his loss! We had heard many reports of others lost to the war, but having the actual connection made of both so very proud to have been able to know one of the men that has given the ultimate price for all of our freedom and so very ashamed that we often took the others for granted. Adam will always be remembered for the fun loving person and great friend that he remained through long distances and major tribulations as well as the American hero that he is! We will miss him very much! We are very sorry for your loss!
